Hintu helps teens with homework through questions and hints, one step at a time. It checks their answer, but never gives it away. Thinking it through is the whole point.
You sign up and give consent. During the pilot we set up your child's account personally.
Your child sends the exercise to Hintu in Telegram: as a photo, text or voice message.
Hintu asks questions and gives hints, step by step, until your child sees how it works.
Your child sends their answer and Hintu checks it. Writing tasks get feedback only.
Hintu climbs one rung at a time, and only as far as needed.
Hi Anna,
Today Sara wrote something to Hintu that made us want to let you know. Hintu responded kindly and pointed Sara to a helpline. Sara knows you're getting this email.
We don't share the conversation itself. It might be a good moment for a calm chat together.
Hintu double-checks itself, but can still get things wrong. The teacher and the textbook have the final word.
Hintu helps your child practise. It doesn't replace lessons and doesn't grade.
Hintu reads photos of exercises and listens to voice messages. Only the text is kept, never the photo or audio.
If a child writes that they're not OK, Hintu responds kindly and points to a helpline in their country.
No. It checks your child's answer and explains where it goes wrong, but the answer has to come from your child. For writing tasks it only gives feedback.
Everything in secondary school: maths, languages, sciences, history, geography and more. Fact questions also get a hint, so your child still looks it up.
Hintu speaks Dutch, Italian, English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese, and helps with homework in those languages too.
No. Chats are private, which is why children dare to ask anything. You only get an email if Hintu points your child to a helpline.
The pilot is free. After that, Hintu becomes a subscription per child. The price will follow, and pilot families hear it first. Nothing renews automatically.
Your child can ask Hintu to delete their data at any time. You can also email hello@hintu.app and we delete everything.
We're starting small, with families across Western Europe. Sign up and we'll contact you personally.
Hintu is run by Jim Verstegen, Lucca, Italy (hello@hintu.app), who is responsible for your data. We collect as little as possible.
